Product Manager

About his role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to drive the development and growth of a digital marketplace connecting fleet operators, telematics service providers, and third-party applications. This is a strategic leadership role where you will define the product vision, build key partnerships, and optimise platform adoption in the telematics and IoT space.

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the product strategy to scale a digital marketplace, driving vendor adoption and customer engagement.
• Identify, onboard, and manage partners including telematics service providers, API vendors, and OEMs.
• Lead product development, working with engineering to ensure seamless API integrations, optimised UI/UX, and self-service onboarding.
• Define and refine monetisation models such as subscription-based, pay-per-use, and commission structures.
• Analyse marketplace data and user behaviour to continuously improve offerings, platform performance, and vendor engagement.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to drive go-to-market strategies and customer adoption.

Critical Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in product management, with a strong track record of building marketplaces from the ground up (MUST HAVE).
• Extensive experience in telematics or IoT, with a deep understanding of industry trends and technologies (MUST HAVE).
• Strong background in automotive, fleet management, or connected vehicle solutions (MUST HAVE).
• Experience working with engineering and design teams to develop API integrations, enabling self-service vendor onboarding, enhanced marketplace search functionalities, application connectors, and data monetisation models.
• Strong understanding of marketplace monetisation models and digital product ecosystems.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, commercial acumen, and data-driven decision-making.
