Join Our Design Team: Motion Designer (Remote-Friendly)

Our flagship product design team is seeking a talented Motion Designer to elevate our brand through innovative video and animation. We're a collaborative team of passionate designers and leaders, and we're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Bring the brand to life in bold and engaging ways. From conception of ideas to shipping finished projects, you'll work alongside design leaders, producers, design operations, visual designers, and product designers to bring life and fresh perspective to our animations and videos.
• Armed with Adobe After Effects and the rest of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, you will be responsible for crafting compelling motion designs and video projects to solve an array of internal product promotional needs—from demo showcases to social media posts, annual product launch events through to marketing animations, and all the teaser screens in-between.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, with a strong portfolio and demo reel with a proven track record of successful projects.
• Excellence in using After Effects and the rest of the core Adobe Creative Suite products necessary for motion graphics deliverables (including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop).
• A deep understanding of animation principles, editing, and visual storytelling. The ability to translate conceptual ideas into elegant and engaging motion design visuals that resonate with our audience and key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment while managing multiple projects, priorities and timelines.
• Experience storyboarding end-to-end flows in Figma/Illustrator with further migration to After Effects using AEUX/Overlord plugins.
• Strong communicator, with the ability to articulate timelines, constraints, bandwidth, and production needs to leads and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding and experience with motion design systems, toolkits, scripts, and expressions.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Take ownership in creating motion design projects from discovery to concept and final delivery.
• Successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams (business partners, engineering, product marketing, design leaders) to plan and execute motion projects.
• Present and advocate your work to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bring our brand and product features to life through engaging animations and videos that resonate with our audience.
• Craft motion graphics for a variety of platforms and formats including social media, live events, and internal product marketing.
• Translate product direction into compelling motion design concepts.
• Embrace an open and authentic approach to teamwork and communication.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our products and services, ensuring accurate representation in all motion graphics.

Bonus points:

• Understanding of sound design and music editing.
• Experience in or with tools like Figma, Loom, and/or Lottie Animations.
• Experience partnering closely with product designers.

This is a contract position until the end of June 2025 (possibility of extension), with the flexibility to work remotely. This is a 4 day per week role, with some weeks requiring 5 days.
