Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Business Analyst / Security Consultant with expertise in DNS, network, and internet services, as well as a strong background in cybersecurity. This is for an initial 3 month contract with high view for extension, as this is early phases to a remediation based program.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DNS record management, attack surface management, and the OWASP Top 10. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to engage with various stakeholders and develop technical remediation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inventory of internet-facing services and DNS records.
- Perform vulnerability assessment of internet-facing services.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather insights and document requirements.
- Analyse and prioritise risks from the vulnerability assessment.
- Develop a detailed technical remediation plan.
- Review and update existing processes related to DNS management and internet services.
- Document a technical remediation plan.
- Develop updated processes and document remediation actions and process updates.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of DNS record types (A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, NS) and their implications for security.
- Proven track record in managing DNS records and ensuring the security of DNS infrastructure.
- Experience with attack surface management and vulnerability mitigation.
- Demonstrated experience in applying the OWASP Top 10 to identify and address security risks.
- Experience in business analysis, including gathering and analysing business requirements, and developing processes and technical remediation plans.
- Strong understanding of network services and internet protocols.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
- Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and engage with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for IT service management.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data analysis.
