We are a climate tech startup located at Zernike Campus Groningen. At Powerchainger we are passionate about energy and technology. With a small and highly motivated team, we develop state-of-the-art AI software for load disaggregation for using energy in an optimal way and bringing the waste of electricity to a minimum. Now we are at the stage of Product Soft Launch and developing an MVP for market (TRL 6-7). With the product we build, we are confident to make an impact on the energy transition and shaping the energy system of the future.

About the job

You are passionate about software development from start to finish. You’ll be part of Product Development and involved in all the processes concerning software on which our programs, cloud solutions, devices and applications run. You are hands-on in developing, implementing, testing, and refining software, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. You are eager to tackle challenges and enhance our systems.

Your responsibilities

▪      Architect and Enhance: Development and improvement of our backend systems.

▪      Analyze and Optimize: Identify and assess system needs and requirements to ensure optimal functionality.

▪      Design and Plan: Create functional designs for software specifications and manage the implementation process.

▪      Execute Programming: Carry out necessary coding and programming tasks.

▪      Test and Refine: Continuously test, troubleshoot, and enhance our systems to address any bottlenecks or bugs.

▪      Document and Share: Write and maintain thorough technical documentation and code records.

Our tech stack

▪      Frontend: MudBlazor, React.js

▪      Backend: ASP .NET CORE, C#, Python

▪      Infra: Kubernetes, influxDB, Github Actions

▪      Monitoring: Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, cAdvisor, node-exporter

▪      Tools: Github, Jira, Google Workspace

▪      Process: weekly sprints, code reviews, tests, automating whatever we can, deploying a few times per week.

You’ll be a perfect match if…

▪      You have a strong technical background.

▪      3+ years of experience in software development. However, we are looking for exceptional candidates no matter the seniority.

▪      Expertise in building backend applications or tools with Python and C#. You are open to gather experience with other tools as well.

▪      Ability to autonomously work on weakly defined projects that require an experiment-driven and collaborative mindset.

▪      Good communication skills in English.
