We are looking for a Junior BI & Commercial Support Specialist within our Customer Operations division at our headquarters located in Viladecans, Barcelona.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining robust & scalable data engineering and BI solutions for cross-functional teams. You must have strong business knowledge & communications skills, as well as the necessary technical knowledge.

We are looking for a Junior BI & Commercial Support Specialist within our Customer Operations division at our headquarters located in Viladecans, Barcelona.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining robust & scalable data engineering and BI solutions for cross-functional teams. You must have strong business knowledge & communications skills, as well as the necessary technical knowledge.
Key Responsabilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data engineering solutions, for the whole Spanish business: Supply Chain, Sales teams, Marketing, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure the delivery of efficient solutions that drive simplification, automation, data visualization, analysis, and decision-making.
- Create and maintain a data structure that supports dashboards and reports for the whole company.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and effective data solutions in Azure, leveraging components such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and others.
- Implement and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, ensuring efficient and reliable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Develop & maintain Visual Basic applications to facilitate information flows within the business.
- Create processes with Power Platform: Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other team members and users, conduct code reviews, and actively participate in architectural and strategical discussions.
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and best practices and proactively recommend and implement improvements in existing processes.
- Ensure the adoption of Unilever’s guidelines and best practices in any development.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure global tools are implemented successfully in the country and collaborate with customers to align data flows/data sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Or, 2 years of experience in the field and strong willingness to keep learning.
- At least one year experience as a data engineer, BI developer, or similar roles, with a focus on designing and developing data engineering solutions and Power Platform processes.
- Strong programming knowledge, with proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, and experience in implementing data engineering workflows using Azure Data Factory.
- Experience in creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Query and DAX and familiar with Power Platform tools.
- Solid knowledge of data modeling techniques, schema design, entity relationship diagrams and query optimization.
- Proficiency level of Spanish and English as you’ll be working with local and global teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address performance and scalability issues.
- Excellent communication skills, business knowledge and being able to work with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into efficient Data & BI solutions.
- Strong business understanding and being able to translate business requirements into Data & BI solutions that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Positive mindset and ability to work well in fast-paced changing environments.
