ADNOC Global Trading LTD "AGT" is looking for an ambitious and motivated Specialist Research & Analytics to join its Research and Analytics team in Abu Dhabi.

ADNOC Trading was established in 2020, as a 100% ADNOC Group owned subsidiary and we operate as an active market participant to trade non-system crudes and LNG.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Research & Analytics Senior Specialist will be responsible for supporting research, analytics and reporting for ADNOC Trading (AT) Management, providing analysis and insights to help AT management understand performance and make better informed decisions. The role involves regular and ad-hoc tasks and interpretation of data to identify performance trends and anticipate issues and opportunities.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Strategic
- Support the development of a strategy and roadmap to evolve AT capabilities in attractive markets through basis extensive market research
- Support stakeholder and organizational alignment on trading business strategy, priorities, decisions and investments
- Deliver economic information to produce intuitive reports for senior management and traders
- Support the generation of new ideas for business development based on market analytics and interactions with senior stakeholders
- Conduct competitive intelligence on the landscape of trading and best practices, to maintain competitive differentiation for AT
Operational
- Support detailed assessments of targeted markets, competitive landscapes and specific competing organizations
- Measure and drive the financial significance of global macroeconomic developments on business operations
- Create projection of probable impacts on the trading and commodities business
- Understand concepts behind Business Intelligence (e.g. – data warehouses, automation) and how information can be used to drive daring advantage
- Produce market reports to interpret and communicate industry, competitive, legislative, regional and key account trends
- Support the analysis of commodity markets, through generating regular and one-off reports
Other Duties
- Support changes in business strategies/geographies to align with AT strategy and priorities
- Back a collaborative, team-focused approach to produce insightful and exhaustive deliverables
- Actively find opportunities to improve processes and services provided
Competencies
- Deliver top quality research and analytics for the global crude trading desk in a fast-paced trading environment
- Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and must have demonstrated ability to deliver results individually and in a team environment
- Candidate must have strong communication skills, capable of presenting analysis on a regular basis through written reports, regular calls/discussions with the trading desks and formal presentations for ADNOC management
- Experience in crude market analysis is a must. Preference will be given to candidates with experience analysing multiple regional markets.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in refined product and freight analysis. Experience in other commodities (e.g. LNG, sulphur, carbon) will be a plus.
- Develop detailed models to track and forecast all components of pricing, including crude benchmarks, regional differentials, market structure, product cracks, refining margins and arbitrage economics
- Develop and maintain advanced models to track and forecast oil market fundamentals and balances, including upstream supply models, refinery capacity changes, refinery runs, end-user product demand, crude flows and inventories
- Candidate must have advanced quantitative, analytical and Microsoft excel skills.
- Strong preference for advanced programming and data management skills
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelors degree and/or Masters’ degree in engineering and/or economics or finance with appropriate and relevant experience
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, or business analysis
