Reporting to: Senior Group Product Manager
What’s On Your Plate
- Qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods and utilization, builds reports and understands the inputs/output relationships.
- Critical thinking. Defining the problem we are trying to solve
- Strategy development, product discovery, roadmap planning and MVP development
- Leadership and visionary capacity to drive best-in class product innovation forward
- Systems thinking, the ability to see the big picture within a multi-sided marketplace
- Writing user stories and facilitation of team discussion for decision making
- Product backlog grooming, prioritization, and roadmaps
- Product launch and communication
- Strong verbal written communication, delivery to different levels of audience and able to break bigger ideas into simplified parts
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.
- High degree of business acumen, ability to identify and create business cases for new product features and to track ROI on product releases.
- Has subject matter expertise in own discipline and strong knowledge of product management disciplines
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
- Experience of product delivery with cross-functional teams, able to overcome/adapt to unforeseen challenges to meet commitments
- May lead functional projects or work streams within a project
- Works independently, identifies innovative solutions, receiving minimal guidance.
- Product strategy and roadmap development in collaboration with strategy, commercial, marketing, finance and strategic partnership teams
- Product planning, project management and software delivery at team level
- Identifying product requirements; works with business stakeholders to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our products. Writes clear user stories at feature level.
- Product roadmap and backlog; build a short term product backlog for a team in line with the strategic goals and objectives
- Maintains a discovery backlog of possible innovation and works with team directly or other product managers to appropriately groom the backlog by assessing business value
- Product delivery and measurement; works effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met. Measures and monitors product performance after releases
- Communication and stakeholder management; clearly communicates with multiple stakeholders throughout the product development process and manages expectation
- Bias towards action.
- A problem solver.
- Digging deep and having grit, the ability to achieve and find your long term goals.
- Has run a team with primary responsibility for roadmap (or similar) definition and delivery over 4 years of experience
- Exposure to strategy, commercial, marketing, finance and strategic partnership teams to align on shared business outcomes. Experience in communication product strategy is a bonus.
- Experience working across multiple product stacks (or business units) and able to balance out roles and responsibilities through collaboration and delegation
- A history of deciphering business needs and translating into requirements that are clear and aligned to specification
