We are seeking a Scrum Master to be fully remote for a period of six months. The position will be responsible for providing support to Scrum &/or Kanban team involved in a large fast-paced program implementing complex technology for business-oriented solutions, through effective application of the agile based SDLC (Software Delivery Life Cycle) and associated ceremonies, ensuring the agreed upon agile practice is being followed.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an Agile team to deliver business outcomes and drive Kroger's Agile maturity within their team
  • Facilitate Agile events, team organization, and ceremonies with one or more teams of varying complexity
  • Facilitate the Agile Delivery team to relentlessly improve through intentional Lean and data driven inspect and adapt cycles (retrospectives)
  • Promote and demonstrate core Kroger agile principles of collaboration, team accountability and transparency
  • Leverage the metrics reports for their team and partner with the team to develop and implement the improvement strategies
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product to understand the product and/or technical roadmap(s) in order to deliver capabilities using an iterative approach
  • Negotiate dependencies with teams by following dependency management leading practices
  • Embrace and promote a quality mind-set by supporting and partnering with QA team members on KTD QA leading practices and standards
  • Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team's ability to deliver against their commitments
  • Support and promote the Agile team's OKRs and ensure the work is accurately entered, linked and tracked in the Kroger tool (i.e. JIRA)
  • Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity, and empower the team to self-manage around achieving their commitments
  • Support and empower the Kroger Technology team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
  • Protect the Agile team from disruptive work, and promote our leading practices and ensure changes are evaluated and intentional
