We are now looking for a Software Developer Trainee to join our team in Ericsson Finland.

Position Objective:

• Develop a software application using Python that accesses HW data via an API
• Generate static Confluence wiki pages to visualize the API data
• Produce statistics on hardware resource usage across different projects and test areas.
• Implement functionality to output results also into separate documents such as Word or Excel.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the development team and design and implement the application.
• Integrate with an external API to retrieve and process hardware usage data.
• Develop features to generate and update Confluence wiki pages with relevant information.
• Analyze data to generate statistics and insights on hardware utilization.
• Implement export functionality to generate reports in formats like Word and Excel.
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure the application meets quality standards.
• Document the development process, including code documentation and user guides.

Expectations:

You are at least on your second year of university studies towards a MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or related technical field and have progressed well in your academic work. You're confident about your technical skills and eager to learn. You are ready to tackle challenges working together with your agile team on speech quality measurements and test automation of virtualized network functions and cloud technologies.

We expect you to work full-time during the summer period, with an option to continue part-time during the next academic year.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience with API integration.
• Familiarity with data manipulation and visualization tools (e.g., Pandas, Matplotlib).
• Experience with document generation libraries (e.g., python-docx, openpyxl) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Confluence or other wiki documentation platforms.
