Information Security Officer

Do you have 4+ years of experience in information security? We are looking for an EU national to join our team in the Netherlands.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in information security
• Experience in writing security policies & procedures.
• Experience in security compliance projects (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience in information security audits and risk management.
• Experience in managing security transformation projects.
• Experience working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Strong communication & coordination skills (technical depth is less important).
• Knowledge of information security frameworks and best practices.
• Soft skills: Team player, flexible mindset, well-organized.
• Good presentation skills.
• Quality Orientation – Understanding customer and system user needs.
• Teamwork & Collaboration – Ability to work effectively across departments and cultures.
• Initiative – Ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
• Language(s): English (fluent).

Job Description:

• Information Security Management: Prepare, monitor, and update Europe's information security management environment (systems, policies, procedures). Monitor and coordinate the review and publication of security policies and procedures with process owners. Promote awareness of good information security practices within the company.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to information security. Ensure that risks and issues are communicated and addressed effectively. Conduct periodic information security audits and suggest countermeasures. Manage security compliance projects (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST). Monitor the information security management framework and proactively suggest improvements.
• Incident Management & Reporting: Report information security incidents and propose countermeasures. Follow up on the implementation of security measures to prevent future incidents.
• Project Management: Manage security transformation projects, including compliance and audit-related projects. Work with stakeholders across the business to drive continuous security improvements. Initiate, write, and complete project documentation.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Maintain relationships with external IT staff, system providers, and customer IT teams.Work with non-IS associates in Europe, the USA, and Japan.
