Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Our client is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer with a focus on React Native to join an energetic start-up with a vision to deliver a FinTech platform designed for the community in the GCC region and beyond. This role provides the chance to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and scalable mobile experience.

Responsibilities:

• Design and construct a scalable React Native application from inception.
• Develop native modules for iOS and Android when required to enhance performance and integrate with platform-specific APIs.
• Create and maintain SDKs to facilitate third-party integrations.
• Manage customised applications, ensuring efficient customisation and deployment.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline mobile development, testing, and release cycles.
• Optimise app performance, ensuring smooth UI/UX and responsiveness.
• Work with Expo to streamline development and enhance cross-platform capabilities.
• Ensure security and compliance with financial regulations, such as secure authentication and data encryption.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define APIs and ensure seamless app functionality.
• Monitor and resolve app issues using analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring tools.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of mobile engineering experience, with a strong focus on React Native.
• Deep understanding of React Native architecture, performance optimisations, and best practices.
• Experience with native development in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
• Proven experience in building SDKs for mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience managing customised mobile applications.
• Strong CI/CD expertise (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI).
• Proficiency in Expo and its ecosystem.
• Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Recoil, Zustand).
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and WebSockets for real-time applications.
• Familiarity with financial applications, trading platforms, or fintech solutions.
