Job Description
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Technical Product Management team is looking for an experienced and motivated Software Development Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs and other systems for OCI’s Dedicated Region Cloud @Customer (DRCC) and Oracle Alloy customers. This is an opportunity to help build a competitive offering from its nascency and extend the reach of OCI to address green field opportunities across the globe. You will work with a talented group of software developers, technical program managers, and a diverse set of cross-functional stakeholders designing scalable, highly available cloud services in a world class cloud development environment. For this engineering role we are seeking an individual with experience and capabilities in full stack software development, software validation, debugging and documentation in a DevOps approach using modern tools and languages. We seek individuals with evolved soft skills in addition to technical acumen. Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with others are hallmarks.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities
- Communicating to the in-country sales teams the data center and deal qualification requirements.
- Working closely with engineering teams translating business requirements into technical requirements to help shape the product.
- Driving alignment on product features, business metrics, and business strategies.
- Assisting in the development of short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives for exponential customer and partner adoption.
- Be the voice of customers and partners with Oracle’s various cloud engineering teams.
- 7+ years of experience in a related field.
- Telecom experience is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) at all levels across an organization.
- Experience with cloud services and Data Center networking.
- Understanding of cloud competitive landscape, customer priorities and challenges.
- Experience using agile software development practices and associated tooling such as Jira.
- Ability to think broadly and strategically.
- Maturity, judgment, negotiation, influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
- Self-driven problem solver; able to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and customer-focused environment.
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.
- Ability to create detailed engagement plans to keep up with the high velocity of features being delivered on the platform
- Demonstrated ability to drive programs and projects to completion.
