Senior Software Engineer - DevEx, Infra, Build, CI

Six Robotics
Norway · Full-time · Mid-Senior

Want to create a DevEx environment that's actually enjoyable to work in – and build it exactly how you want?

Six Robotics is looking for our first dedicated hire to focus on building systems, toolchains, dependency management, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and the development of internal tools and services. If you're passionate about optimizing developer experiences and creating reliable systems, we’d love to hear from you!

About Us

At Six Robotics, we are pioneering the future of UAV swarm technology. Our software, Valkyrie, enhances drone capabilities through advanced communication tools, perception modules, and intelligent decision-making. By enabling seamless collaboration between UAVs—regardless of platform or mission type—we’re redefining what’s possible in the air.

We collaborate with partners like the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment to ensure seamless integration and scalability with existing hardware. Our goal is to maximize UAV efficiency, functionality, and accessibility across industries.

By joining Six Robotics, you’ll become part of a dynamic team working at the forefront of drone technology. You’ll collaborate with talented engineers, researchers, and innovators, all driven by a shared vision to transform industries and push the boundaries of what UAVs can achieve.

About The Role

At Six Robotics, DevEx and Infrastructure are not buzzwords or IT support functions—it’s a mission-critical products in their own right. We’re building a robust Developer Experience (DevEx) foundation to ensure best practice software development and testing. As part of this team, you’ll work on our internal roadmap to fulfill the DevEx strategy. The task will involve developing internal tools and running infrastructure as a service. It’s a technically demanding challenge - one that calls for skilled engineers to drive it forward.

As one of our early hires, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our DevEx strategy, including influencing decisions on tooling and infrastructure. While some foundational elements are in place—our product stack includes C++, Python, ROS, and AI/ML running on Linux, GPUs, x86 desktop, and ARM embedded—many decisions are still to be made. We use a Monorepo, and our integration testing requires hardware-in-the-loop, but beyond that, we’re building our future together.
