Job Overview:

As a Data Analyst at Fumb Games, you’ll play a pivotal role in optimising our games and understanding how our products engage with players. From top-level metrics to in-depth analysis of game balancing and experimentation, you'll be at the heart of driving data-driven decisions and improving the player experience. You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, self-guided environment and isn't afraid to explore every corner of the data to uncover valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Explore and Analyse Data: Dive deep into data to uncover meaningful insights, track key performance metrics, and support product development decisions.
• Experimentation & Game Balancing: Work closely with the team to evaluate game balancing and design experiments, ensuring our games are finely tuned and engaging.
• Data-Driven Recommendations: Provide actionable recommendations based on analysis, guiding our team to improve our products and enhance user experiences.
• Communication: Clearly present findings, visualisations, and insights to the team, ensuring everyone understands the data and its implications.
• Self-Driven Exploration: Take the initiative to dive into the data without waiting for direction, always looking for ways to improve and refine our products.

Required Skills:

• 2+ Years in Gaming Data Analytics: Experience in gaming data analytics, particularly in mobile games, is preferred.
• Motivated and Self-Organising: You take ownership of your work, guiding your explorations and problem-solving efforts without constant direction.
• Interest in Gaming: A passion for gaming to help you understand our products and their interaction with users.
• SQL Expertise: Proficient with PostgreSQL, or similar SQL variants used in cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse).
• Programming Knowledge: Familiarity with Python and/or R, or a willingness to learn.
• Statistical Understanding: A solid understanding of statistical significance and how to measure it within datasets.
• Strong Communicator: Able to present data findings in a clear and engaging manner, with attention to nuance.
• Data Visualisation: A love for creating beautiful, easy-to-understand graphs that make complex data come to life.
• Curiosity: You’re always asking questions and looking for deeper insights, especially when it comes to how our games interact with players.

Desirable Skills:

• Data Science Knowledge: Experience with data science concepts, including machine learning and reinforcement learning models.
• Understanding of Data Pipelines: Knowledge of data pipelines and basic data engineering principles.
• Mobile Game Advertising Ecosystem: Familiarity with key metrics such as CPMs, CPIs, ROAS, and other related advertising concepts.
