Senior Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be joining an Engineering team focused on building the next generation of Trolley’s flagship product. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work closely with Product, Data, and the rest of the Engineering team on enhancing the most critical features of our product offering while scaling and evolving the technical foundation it is built upon. Very exciting part is that Trolley just recently opened the office in Vilnius and with the fresh setup you could be one of the first employees joining the team.

In your role you will:

• Build a world-class software engineering team of highly motivated developers.
• Creating a culture of technical discussion and curiosity, crisp project estimation, and arbitrating choices amongst very strong opinions.
• Building incredible products around the needs of the customer.
• Managing on-boarding, mentoring, and performance of your team.
• Architectural oversight of critical capabilities to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
• Setting organizational standards and influencing our engineering culture.
• Building strong partnerships and alignment with Product, Design and Data and various stakeholders.
  
  

About you:

• 5+ years of experience leading and/or managing software development teams.
• Incredible leadership ability, demonstrated through previous experience recruiting, developing, and mentoring a top-notch technical engineering team.
• Capable of planning and executing on both short-term and long-term goals individually and with the team.
• 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer with high proficiency in the following areas:
• Node.js, Typescript, Javascript.
• PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, SNS, SQS, Docker.
• Practical experience working in Agile environments using CI/CD.
• Solid intellectual curiosity and desire for excellence around leading teams, building products, and delivering an unparalleled customer experience.
• Communication skills that break through barriers, engage people, and get your ideas across quickly and efficiently.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies in a challenging and high-growth environment.
• High self-motivation and customer-focused attitude.

• Experience with Terraform, Fargate, Lambda, React, Styled Components Experience in the banking and/or financial technology industry.
