About The Team

We are a distributed team of professionals that builds and supports the DSP Reporting platform. Yahoo’s reporting and analytics service that serves hundreds of thousands queries per day from petabytes size data warehouses.

Our DSP Reporting team is currently looking for talented engineers who can design, implement and support robust, scalable and high quality reporting solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Utilizes experience with distributed file systems, database architecture, and data modeling to organize and process large data sets;
• Identify potential performance bottlenecks and scalability issues to justify or critique the design;
• Collaborate with other developers and designers to help to define, build, and deliver new features in our state of the art reporting and analytics solution.
• Share responsibilities like system architecture/design reviews, code reviews, performance tuning and production support
• Own and deliver - from the small must-do tasks to larger, complex projects with many moving parts
• Share your opinions and help shape our technical direction, best practices, product ideas, and team processes. We value and depend on your input!
  
  

What You Bring:

• Ability to work in a fast paced, intellectually challenging and highly technical environment;
• Experienced in Java/Scala/Spark/SQL;
• Good knowledge and experience with big data technologies including Hadoop/Hive/Spark/Flink is highly desirable;
• Good knowledge and experience with big data DBs: Apache Druid, HP Vertica
• Experience with building robust, scalable, distributed services;
• Experience with massively scalable messaging and distributed real-time processing;
• Experience in all aspects of software development including architecture and design, implementation and production support;
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools and processes;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• M.S. Computer Science or Engineering or B.S. of related fields;
