Senior Software Engineer (€60K - €70K) (TOP AI Startup)

One of the companies with which we collaborate in Joppy, an AI platform, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Madrid, Barcelona or Alicante (hybrid work model).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and robustness, particularly in applications involving LLMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications, ensuring that solutions meet both performance and business objectives.
• Develop APIs and manage inter-service communications that underpin our AI-driven products.
• Uphold high standards for code quality and system reliability by implementing best practices in continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor junior developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement across the team.
• Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various systems.
• Engage in system design and architecture discussions, influence product roadmap and project planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Backend, in Python. Other languages are a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Strong interest (and proven experience/ side projects) in AI.
• Driven by a customer-centric mindset with a strong focus on product orientation.
• Familiarity with the startup environment and methodologies. Strives in fast paced environments.
• Deep understanding of LLMs and other AI/ML technologies, along with proficiency in Python and other programming languages.
• Experience with cloud environments, modern databases, and data ecosystems.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.
• Proactive and self-motivating with strong prioritization skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented language.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-performance computing and optimizations.
• Previous leadership experience or strong project management skills.
• B2C experience, working with large databases of user information.
• Experience in AI products / companies.
