DeVision Recruitment are proud to be partnering with an established business that has offers a world leading security SaaS platform. They are on the lookout for a Firmware Engineer to join their existing team of 5. The product allows businesses to integrate all their physical infrastructure under one system. This is an international business which is a leader in it's field and has been in operation for 20+ years. This company offers a hybrid working style, requiring people to come into the Macquarie Park office 3 days per week.

The role:

Design, develop and maintain of firmware. A strong focus is placed on efficiency, analysis, design and innovation

Responsibilities

  • Participate in development of requirements and design specifications
  • Design and develop firmware for embedded applications
  • Maintain existing firmware products
  • Participate in development team qualification review of hardware and firmware prior to QA test
  • Provide technical documentation for new features
  • Track progress and adjust to maintain schedule commitments
  • Communicate task status to management


Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with embedded firmware engineering & design
  • Minimum 3+ years of professional experience with microprocessors or microcontrollers and embedded development tools
  • Advanced skills in C/C++ programming
  • Professional Experience with multithreaded RTOS
  • Advance skills in development of real-time embedded applications (using interrupts and DMAs)
  • Ability to understand the essential needs of users and meet these in well-designed programs
  • Ability to test, troubleshoot and debug embedded systems
  • Proven skills in time and resource management
  • Ability to function well and respectfully with other engineers in a close team
  • Familiarity with common embedded systems communications protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-422/485)
  • Experience writing low-level embedded drivers
  • Well versed in usage of source control frameworks such as Git/SVN/TFVC
