Research Assistant (m/f/d) at the Faculty of Computer Science in the field of creating VR applications in the e-health sector

We are a committed, dynamic, interdisciplinary team in the
Smart Health Lab at the university
of the Bundeswehr Munich. We research new
digital solutions in emergency, emergency and disaster medicine.
Our focus is on virtual reality applications that can be used in civilian
and military emergency services. We design,
develop and research VR applications and serious games in the e-health sector. You work with
us on the design and programming of these applications and
training environments, in particular on the components that
can be used to
are to be mapped in virtual worlds and
acquire practical skills
in the application for virtual environments and beyond.

Your Tasks
- Designing and programming VR applications using Unity
- Collaborating with artists and designers to integrate visual and acoustic elements into Unity projects
- Improving game performance to ensure speed and scalability
- Identifying errors and developing solutions to fix them
- Collaboration in interdisciplinary research projects and close cooperation with other departments
- Presentation of scientific work, publishing
- Successfully completed above-average academic higher education (e.g. Master's degree) in a STEM subject, e.g. in computer science, games engineering, games programming, game development, digital games, or related courses of study What do we expect?
- You are well versed in: - Virtual reality applications
- Serious games in the e-health sector
- You have experience with: - Basic knowledge of programming in C# and/or C++
- Desirable: knowledge of Unity3D engine or other game engines
- Conception and further development of serious games
- You can express yourself well in written and spoken German and/or English
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with other programming languages
- Ability to work in a team, initiative and a structured way of working
