Your role at KIKO MILANO

We are looking for a Data Scientist Manager to join KIKO MILANO’s Data Analytics and Insights team.

Such talent will will bridge business strategy and AI-driven solutions, working closely with executives to translate challenges into data-driven opportunities. You will lead analytics projects, oversee AI model deployment, and mentor data scientists while driving innovation and operational efficiency.

In particular, you will:

• Work executives to understand business problems and map them to state-of-the-art analytics and AI solutions
• Help think strategically about how to leverage technology to create fundamental business impact, from formulating tech-driven growth strategies to enabling more efficient operations through the use of technology
• Develop and lead AI and advanced analytics roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Help lead digital and analytics projects that include the development and deployment of AI technologies and models
• Establish best practices, ensuring high standards in modeling, experimentation, and AI deployment.
• Play an active role in all aspects of a project, typically working in teams including business stakeholders and technical stakeholders (e.g., data scientists, data engineers); this will include gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations for the business
• Mentor data scientists, fostering technical excellence, innovation, and a data-driven mindset within the team to maximize their impact on the business.

What you will need to succeed

• Advanced degree, preferably an MBA or PhD in a relevant field (such as computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, mathematics)
• 5+ years of work experience after completing your undergraduate degree, with strong functional knowledge and hands-on experience in data analytics and cloud data systems and platforms
• Proficient in at least one relevant coding language required (e.g., Python, etc.)
• Experience of working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.) is a plus
• Experience in machine learning, statistics, optimization or related fields, understands underlying methodologies and algorithms
• Experience in people management
• Combination of strategic and analytical insights with a passion for technology
• Experience in applying data science methods to business problems
• Good presentation and communication skills with a knack for explaining complex analytical concepts to people from other fields
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively in English
