Node.js Developer (Marketplace Team)

What you’ll have to do:

• Collaborate with other technical team members and the project owner to design, implement, quickly troubleshoot, and resolve any critical issues;
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices within a serverless or containerized architecture (AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, etc.);
• Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity across distributed systems;
• Implement and maintain unit tests and performance tests to ensure system reliability and scalability;
• Maintain and manage infrastructure using Terraform to ensure consistency, automation, and scalability;
• Stay in tune with the latest backend technologies and best practices; proactively identify areas for improvement and propose viable solutions for the backend architecture.

How we’d like you to be:

• Have at least 1 year of professional experience working with Node.js in a production environment;
• Have at least 3 years of previous experience in a software development role;
• Proficient in working with MySQL/Redis databases;
• Familiar with messaging systems such as Kafka/RabbitMQ;
• Have experience with Cloud Technologies: Working knowledge of AWS services (including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, Aurora and CloudWatch);
• Have Design Patterns and OOP knowledge: Solid understanding and practical application of various design patterns such as Dependency Injection, Factory, Builder, Observer, and Facade;
• Proficiency in OOP concepts;
• Familiarity with designing and implementing scalable and event-driven solutions;
• Understanding the principles of event-driven architecture and its application in building robust systems;
• Have testing experience: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in writing unit tests using Jest or similar testing frameworks;
• Flexible, communicative, a real team player;
• Able to work on several simultaneous projects and to adapt to a fast-evolving environment.

Will be a plus:

• Familiarity or experience with TypeScript;
• Knowledge of infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform;
• PHP/Python programming languages;
• Experience with SOLR;
• Experience or familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.);
• Understanding and practical experience with containerization using Docker;
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI;
• Experience in building and deploying microservices-based architectures;
• Experience with DDD (Domain Driven Design) projects;
• Working with Agile methodology.
