Junior Software Engineer

Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services across Europe. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and FinTechs.

We are currently partnered with a Global Investment Banking client of ours and looking to bring on a number of Junior Software Engineers, to work with them on an exciting project, in Bucharest

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain software solutions using Java for backend development mobile and web application development.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code while adhering to best practices and maintaining high code quality.
• Assist in the development of backend services, APIs, and microservices.
• Participate in code reviews and work closely with senior engineers to improve the overall code quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and basic database management.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Basic understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and eagerness to learn new technologies..
