Java/Kotlin Developer – MarketHub

Responsibilities

Your Mission

  • MarketHub application is used as a central point in the distribution of issuance and life-cycle events for financial products to a big variety of external providers (WMDaten, DerivateXXL, Clearstream, ...) in a variety of forms (REST, SFTPs, SMTP protocol...)
  • We are constantly expanding the scope of products, events & providers to which we are connected thus the application is constantly evolving.
  • Code base written mainly in Kotlin using Java 17, SpringBoot, RabbitMQ and persistence with PostgreSQL.
  • The application is build based on microseservices architecture, containerized with Docker and orchestrated by Kubernetes.
  • The application is in full developement ownership in Bucharest and we are in direct contact with the business located in Frankfurt.

Your Role in a Nutshell:

  • Assist with the translation of business requirements into technical ones;
  • Show technical expertise and handle development/testing tasks;
  • Follow up functional testing with end users;
  • Liaises with Infrastructure/middleware teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies;
  • Employs industry standard best practices;
  • Provides level three support during local business hours;
  • Involved with the review and submission of solutions designs globally.

Profile required

A little about You:

  • You have excellent understanding of Java SE and multithreading;
  • Strong knowledge of Spring framework, SpringBoot;
  • Knowledge of middleware principles (RabbitMQ) and asynchronous communication;
  • Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL database principles;
  • Knowledge of some core development tools used within the company: Kibana, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Sonar;
  • Ability to work with Kotlin, another programming language closely related to Java;
  • Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes would be appreciated;
  • Front-end web development skills (Angular) would be appreciated;
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
