Backend Engineer

Vizrt One Media AB is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join the Media Asset Management (MAM) business unit in the Stockholm office where you will be working with the platform team who go all-out to produce the broadcasting market's most competitive client facing applications, improving the daily work for TV anchors, journalists, editors, producers, operators, video editors and graphics artists around the world.

• You will work with the team to deliver container based deployment and workflows for Viz One, our media asset management system.
• Collaborate with stake holders on Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to explore new ideas and technologies.
• Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements in existing products and components.
• Work with the team to gradually modernize and future proof our product codebases.
• Support professional services to deliver projects to our customers to meet established scope and deadlines.
• Develop and maintain test automation to validate software functionality.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with stakeholders to optimize software performance.

• Experience with at least one high level programming language (e.g. Python, Perl) and/or one lower level programming language (e.g. C++, Go).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS is ideal), containers, and/or Kubernetes.
• An understanding of AI products and features particularly in the areas of semantic search or video analysis.
• Knowledge of audio and video encoding is a plus.
• Experience with relational databases is a plus.
• Experience implementing RESTful API services is a plus.
