BIM Manager (Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a BIM Manager to join our team for a Construction Project in Oslo, Norway.

-Estimated length of the position: 24 months, with the possibility of being extended. In general, when the project ends, we try to place the candidate in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-The BIM Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the BIM processes, ensuring seamless collaboration between architects, engineers, and contractors. The role will focus on the efficient use of BIM tools for design coordination, data management, and ensuring that all project elements are accurately modeled and effectively integrated into the construction process.

- Responsibilities:

-Management and coordination of all model information supplied by the Main Designer:

• Assessment of the information received, checking potential changes, quality issues in the model or other challenges that need to be captured and communicated to the client.
• Control of model status, revisions and changes, to ensure the latest information is available. Communication / publishing into the Project Platforms to make it available to the full team.

-Management and coordination of all model information produced by Subcontractors/Consultants, including:

• Support to Subcontractor/Consultant to understand project requirements and needs.
• Quality check of models received prior submission to client for approval.
• Control of model status, revisions and changes, to ensure the latest information is available. Communication / publishing into the Project Platforms to make it available to the full team once the models are approved.

-Management and maintenance of Project CDE (Common Data Environment), Autodesk Construction Cloud, including:

• Maintenance of the CDE.
• Control and management of access rights for each user in the project.
• Implementation of new routines/workflows/modules to support processes in the project, looking for efficiency.
• Connexion of models and documentation into the system.
• Extraction of model information to produce reinforcement bending schedules.

- Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a BIM manager, with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in metro or transportation systems.
• Strong proficiency in BIM software. In-depth knowledge of BIM processes, standards, and best

practices.

• Knowledge of ACC as common data environment, Trimble Connect as visualization tool for models and model info and BIM360 (equivalent to ACC) to exchange model information with client.
• Experience with BIM coordination, clash detection, and model optimization.
• Familiarity with construction documentation, design coordination, and project lifecycle management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Highly organised individual to have an accurate control of the information.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Norwegian and in English

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week.
