The mission of the position is to oversee the journey of opening new mall stores, which involves coordinating requirements and timelines from the initial kick-off of the project to the final handover of the store. Key responsibilities include managing project schedules and facilitating stakeholders’ communication, ensuring coordination of the local business team with corporate functions and external suppliers.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:
New openings activities:
- Support mapping new available locations proposed by the real estate team
- Coordination of the kick-off of new openings with design and construction team
- Collection of all requirements and activities necessary to carry out the opening project
- Tasks mapping, monitoring and follow up with local business team
- Coordination of the expected deadlines, next steps and opening date with Government Affairs team, IT Corporate team, Logistic customer support team and other stakeholders.
Operations activities:
- Support Operations Manager in scouting and managing external service providers
- Support in Operations and Construction costs monitoring
- Collection and management of Operations-related issues arising from daily store activities
Ad-hoc projects support:
- Management of Operations team activities on new ad hoc projects.
- Coordination of new marketing activations and events, or special IT projects to be implemented in stores
TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE
- The ideal candidate for the role should have a proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in retail / GCC countries. Key skills include:
- Organizational Skills: ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders efficiently.
- Communication Skills: strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and effective interactions with all parties involved.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: keen attention to detail in identifying and resolving potential blocking points to avoid project delays.
- Precision: mandatory skill to ensure all aspects of the project are meticulously planned and executed, keeping track of lesson learned and past experiences.
- Adaptability: flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and handle unexpected challenges.
- Familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Project) and tools to track progress and manage resources will be highly valued.
