Our construction client is seeking an HR Generalist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with employment legislation and alignment with business objectives. This position plays a key role in talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration while fostering a positive and efficient workplace culture.
This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
- Support employee relations, attendance management, and recognition programs.
- Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and manage recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, organizational charts, and employee records.
- Support employee relations, attendance management, and recognition programs.
- Ensure HR compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.
- Assist with HR projects, training initiatives, and compliance programs.
- Manage HR inquiries and maintain confidential records.
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of related HR experience
- CHRP designation preferred or in progress.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation
- Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS, SharePoint, and DMS.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
