Summary

This Network Operations Specialist position requires strong technical expertise in networking technologies to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot network infrastructure. Excellent communication and collaborative skills are also crucial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, maintain, upgrade and support network infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance using various monitoring tools and identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize network configurations for improved efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify and resolve network issues proactively.
  • Provide technical support to end-users
  • Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, configurations and processes
  • Participate in project planning and implementation.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Critical Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in network operations or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, routing protocols and principles etc.)
  • Experience with network monitoring tools
  • Experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE) are highly desirable.
