For our customer, a major central bank in Basel, we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a long term contract 

50% Office based
50% WFH 
Position requires relocation 
8 hour days 
218 day year 
114 CHF per hour 
  • Around 7 years of experience in Financial Services (Banking, Insurance Consulting) with at least 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or a similar role. 
  • Strong knowledge of supporting applications running on Windows Servers.  
  • Strong knowledge of Windows systems administration, and a plus to have networking, and security systems knowledge. 
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby. 
  • Experience with leading the response to incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools e.g.  Elastic Stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, AWS Cloudwatch. 



Nice to have: 
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as ArgoCD, and Kubernetes is a plus 
  • Experience of SRE in a Treasury environment is a plus. 
  • Experience of performing SRE with FIS Front Arena is a plus.
