Security Analyst

We have a current opportunity for a Security Analyst, on a contract basis within the Defence sector. The role is based in Symonston, ACT. The contract is for an initial 14 month period, with a 2 x 12 month extension option.

Start: circa 28 April 2025

DSS Skill Set: Level 2 - Systems and Software Engineering - System Security

The Security Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

• Conduct Pre-Certification activities, inclusive of producing technical and system-level security documentation.
• Activities to be undertaken IAW Defence ICT Certification and Accreditation Framework, and relevant Government policy including the Information Security Manual(ISM).
• Engage with AHQ, CJC, CASG, CIOG and internal LNIC staff to develop project or capability-specific security accreditation documentation, including the preparation for submission to CIOG for endorsement and approval by CIOG.
• Develop, support and maintain CT-A frameworks, processes and engagement with key stakeholders.
• Attend workshops and actively participate to provide robust ICT security advice within information security and technical accreditation discussions.

Minimum mandatory requirements:

• AGSVA Security clearance.
• Defence experience.
• Understanding and experience with Australian Government certification and accreditation processes.
• Understanding of Department of Defence applicable information security policy, including the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), Information Security Manual (ISM) and Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF).
• Knowledge of ICT Information Security or ICT Security Architecture.
• Knowledge of service delivery frameworks, including ITIL.
• Hold relevant industry information systems security certifications, in line with IRAP category A or B details.
• Understanding of Defence Project capability Lifecycle.
