Description: As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will report to the IL Application Development Manager and be part of a team of developers working around the Vereycken&Vereycken UL3 Policy Administration System. You will be responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining in-house applications, actively participating in global maturity increase, and improving the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) based on your expertise

Missions:

• Participate in technical feasibility studies and contribute to functional analysis with Vereycken&Vereycken
• Design and document solutions comprehensively to ensure development work is performed accordingly
• Support the decomposition of work into stories to optimize workload planning across the team
• Design, maintain, and improve development standards for team improvement
• Implement and improve various applications according to specifications
• Collaborate optimally with architects, infrastructure, and operations colleagues to maintain high standards and security
• Prepare technical documentation for developed programs to provide IT colleagues with tools for program use
• Develop and maintain reporting tools from UL3 and other applications towards external and internal databases
• Coordinate development-related efforts with Group IT colleagues

Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science
• 5 years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented context with exposure to API development
• Mastery of software development processes (SDLC), methods, and trends
• Excellent skills in data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and the ability to apply design patterns in architecture
• Full-stack development experience in .NET and Agile software development management experience
• Experience with Microsoft Power solutions
• Proficiency in French or Dutch and fluent in English, both orally and in writing
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a collaborative team
• Experience in the insurance sector, particularly life insurance
• High standards with just-enough documentation, unit testing, code reviews, test automation, continuous integration & deployment, and a preference for agile methods
