Role/Assignment Overview:


Common Admin Portal - further development of the existing web based administrator portal to handle Master Data & Ledger data from backends at both AirPlus & Cards. The project is challenging and will require close collaboration between Teams at AirPlus (Germany) and at Cards (Stockholm). Majority of development in Stockholm - teams are highly motivated and skilled. Cards has an existing market leading administrative portal. The portal now needs to handle backend data (Customer, Accounts, Invoices, payments, transactions) from the AirPlus backend in addition to Cards existing backends. In addition development of gaps compared to existing AirPlus portal offering. A major challenge will be master data management (customer, accounts of users) - who needs to be synchronized between two backends.

The ideal candidate has experience in web based (java) development providing information stored in backend systems who deliver the data via microservices. The development is a "refinement" of existing system who all the time needs to serve the existing customer base. With the data presented in one tech stack and available in two others (Cards in Mainframe and AirPlus in Dynamics & SAP) the ability to make teams from different tech stacks develop a common language is essential. A major challenge will be master data management (customer, accounts of users) - who needs to be synchronized between two backends. Development are carried out by our agile teams - and interfacing with the agile methodoly in a SaFE environment will be needed. One ring fenced team focused on the portal will will be available but collaboration will be needed with other agile teams. Excellent people & communication skills are needed since the process involves getting two organisations to collaborate. Focus will be on getting the job done, remove impediments not on reporting, since a close collaboration will take place with Program management.
