Job Summary:
As a Data Scientist, you will work with various datasets, develop predictive models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights. You will use machine learning, statistical analysis, and other quantitative techniques to provide business solutions, optimize decision-making, and contribute to product innovation.
What you will do:
- Analyze datasets of structured and unstructured data to derive insights that will drive business strategies.
- Build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models to solve business challenges in risk assessment, fraud detection, customer retention, and more.
- Collaborate with product managers, risk analysts, and business teams to understand their goals and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of a predictive model including data selection, model training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retirement.
- Perform A/B testing and design experiments to evaluate new features or product offerings.
- Utilize various tools and libraries (e.g., Python, R, SQL, etc.) to extract, process, and analyze data.
- Ensure data quality and implement data governance best practices.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and data science techniques to continuously improve processes and methodologies.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A PhD is a plus.
- Minimum 2-5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a similar role, preferably in the fintech or financial services sector.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, tree boosting, etc.).
- Experience with deploying models for production is a plus.
- Experience with assessing model and variable stability (e.g., PSI metrics).
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and manipulating data.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and ML related tools therein is a plus.
- Experience with any containerization (Docker, Kubernetes or similar), event streaming (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs or similar) or API development (FastAPI, Flask or similar) tools is a huge plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
