Description

We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer I to join our Quality Technology & Solutions (QTS) team within Amazon's EU Quality organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions, with a focus on machine learning and AI applications that enhance our quality assurance and inventory control systems.

Key job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative quality assurance technologies
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
• Monitor and optimize system performance and reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team's technical growth
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Strong proficiency in backend development using languages such as Python
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
