Senior Interaction Designer for Mobile Apps

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior UX Designer to join our mobile team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and delivering intuitive and engaging mobile applications user experience on both Android and iOS platforms. You will be a part of a global and diverse UX team while working closely with dynamic cross-functional product team. You will leverage your expertise to create world-class user-centered solutions for automotive and car navigation that meet business goals and simplify the user experience for a broad and diverse user base.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop world-class mobile design solutions for automotive and car navigation applications to meet user needs and business goals.
  • Ensure the timely creation and delivery of high-quality, detailed and scalable interaction flows, prototypes and specifications for mobile applications, to communicate design intent to cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate closely in a product team with Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, and Engineers to innovate and enhance product features and user engagement, dealing with evolving priorities and roadmaps.
  • Utilize data analytics and user testing to continuously validate design concepts and ensure engaging user-centric solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and external factors that impact design within the automotive and mobile spaces.
  • Provide design leadership through influence, critical thinking, communication, and positive collaboration.
  • Mentor and supervise younger designers.

What You'll Need

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing consumer applications and products across mobile, web, or devices, demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
  • Proven experience in designing scalable and modular solutions for Android and iOS platforms working with design tokens, UI libraries and components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a passion for addressing complex technical and user experience challenges.
  • Full proficiency in interaction design and prototyping tools such as Figma and ProtoPie. Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and key AI tools is a plus.
  • Ability to harmonize user needs and technical constraints with empathy and creativity.
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional product teams with product management, engineering, and operations teams, ensuring continuous delivery and implementation of design assets.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching abilities, with a desire to mentor junior designers.
  • Ability to organize and facilitate workshops and design sprints to review user insights, enhance collaboration, rapidly solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Passion for (EV) cars and in-vehicle experiences. Having a driver's license is a must.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus, along with a Master's degree in UX or Interaction Design.
