Artificial Intelligence Engineer

My Client within the AI Powered Legal-Tech space located in Amsterdam are in search of an AI Software engineer who can successfully implement Generative AI into their Backend focused code-base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) (such as GPT-3, GPT-4, or other transformer-based models) into our backend systems using Node.js.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and machine learning engineers to design, build, and scale generative AI and language models that can be deployed in production environments.
• Develop efficient backend APIs and services to expose LLM capabilities (text generation, summarization, question-answering, etc.) to frontend applications.
• Implement and optimize Generative AI algorithms (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5) to generate high-quality, relevant, and context-aware outputs in real-time.
• Ensure scalability and performance optimization of AI-driven backend systems, with an emphasis on reducing latency and computational costs.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices for backend development in Node.js.
• Contribute to model fine-tuning, ensuring the best performance of LLMs on specific tasks (e.g., customer support, content generation, natural language understanding).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience in integrating Generative AI models and Large Language Models (LLMs) into production environments.
• Expertise in Node.js and backend development, with a strong understanding of server-side architectures and API design.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face) for model implementation and fine-tuning.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and understanding of asynchronous programming and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying AI-driven services.
