Job Description

You will be part of a new team in MN RAN R&D BBSoC (Mobile Networks Radio Access Network Research and Development Base-band and System-on-Chip) u nit responsible for developing assigned piece of SW to meet the expected Definition of Done for Cloud RAN applications. We are looking for a skilled DevOps engineer. You would be working with specifying, designing, implementation and testing software on DevOps (CI/CD/SCM). You will be able to develop your knowledge and skills while working on one of the most state of the art and disruptive technologies.

Position: Internship

Start Date (tentative): May, 2025

Location: On-site in Lisbon, Portugal

Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate finishing their MSc degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical engineering, or a related field with an accredited school

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Supporting the implementation of features and contributing to the integration of software components within the assigned domain, based on product backlogs and specifications.
  • Contributing to the platform, DevOps processes, and continuous integration activities.
  • Learning and applying industry-standard Quality Assurance best practices for testing methodologies.
  • Participating in internal improvement projects, initiatives, and task forces as needed.
  • Learning how to assess software quality and assist in the development of test tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Skills And Experience

  • Proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Enthusiastic about software development and testing, with a willingness to gain hands-on experience in these areas.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and an interest in learning how they impact high-quality software.
  • Basic knowledge or coursework experience in C++, Golang, Python, and Linux environments (experience in scripting/coding in any language is a plus).
  • Curious about cloud-native computing (e.g., Kubernetes, CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) concepts) and cloud infrastructure technologies (RedHat, AWS, Azure, GCP).
