Lead Data Engineer - AI & NLP

Our client is a leading AI-driven organization seeking an experienced Data & AI Engineering professional to elevate their tech team.

What you'll do:

In this role, you will lead a high-performing team of engineers and oversee the entire data engineering and AI implementation lifecycle, from initial concept through to implementation and maintenance of scalable systems. A key part of your role will be optimizing data pipelines and overseeing the integration of machine learning models into production systems. You will also develop clear and effective data visualizations and reports for stakeholders.

• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of engineers.
• Develop and execute the data and AI engineering strategy.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Optimize data pipelines and oversee the integration of machine learning models into production systems.
• Develop clear and effective data visualizations and reports for stakeholders.
• Design and optimize data warehouses and cloud platforms.
• Monitor and enhance the performance of data systems.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, Data Engineer role.
• Extensive experience using NLP & AI/ML for Sentiment Analysis, Consumer Intelligence, Predictive Analysis etc.
• Experience and familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or AI Chatbots
• Strong expertise with data scraping pipelines, APIs and tools such as Beautiful Soup, Selenium etc.
• Strong expertise with data migration and database concepts e.g., ORM, Foreign Keys, Error Handling etc.
• Expert & hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python, SQL along with Jupyter Notebook, Streamlit
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience managing data warehouse solutions.
