As a Software Engineer, you'll be supported and mentored to design and develop high-quality software, adhering to Equifax's global engineering standards. You'll work in an agile environment, contributing to the continuous delivery of business value. What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native software applications using .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/ .NET 6+), including microservices.
  • Develop your skills in creating and optimizing cloud-native database solutions using SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, 1 testing, and deployment.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and QA engineers, to learn and grow.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices under guidance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of technical documentation.
  • Develop your understanding of and implement secure coding practices.

What Experience Do You Need:

  • Computer science or related degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in software development, with exposure to .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/ .NET 6+) and microservices
  • Foundational understanding of SQL and database concepts.
  • Familiarity with software development principles and methodologies, including an interest in microservices.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow in a cloud-native and microservices-oriented development environment.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and highly motivated.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must have valid and unrestricted working rights in Australia

What Could Set You Apart:

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Personal projects or coursework demonstrating software development skills, particularly related to microservices concepts.
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture patterns
