About The Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us at Australian Retirement Trust (ART) where you will be a key player in managing the build, release, and operational support processes for our critical application solutions. You'll work closely with Technical Leads and Engineers to ensure efficient, reliable, and high-quality deployments. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, including release management and environment management, to deliver releases within agreed scope and timelines.

Your responsibilities will include enhancing test automation tooling, managing application and platform performance, and ensuring compliance with IT Service Management processes. This role is available as a permanent opportunity and we’re flexible on location so long as you can attend our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne office at least once or twice a week.

About You

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you’ll tick some of the following boxes too:

• Experience managing critical applications on Win/Linux on-premise, Azure or AWS.
• Experience in Agile Software Development teams using standard tools such as Jira.
• Experience using scripted deployment tools such as Puppet or Octopus Deploy.
• Experience building and supporting applications in a CI/CD environment using standard tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity or Azure DevOps.
• Experience implementing Test automation into a continuous delivery pipeline.
• Understanding and proven experience in implementing Continuous Delivery.
• Experience with PAAS orchestration such as Azure, AWS, OpenShift or Containers.
• Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills.
• Great communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal).
• An inclusive, collaborative and motivated attitude focused on solving problems.
• Ability to effectively document approaches, plans, procedures and releases.
