Data Analyst and Power BI expert (freelance)

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst and Power BI expert to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating complex operational data into insightful analytical models and helping to shape the conceptual data architecture. The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to support decision-making, as well as enhance data skills within the team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize data and aid in decision-making.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through regular data verifications and validations.
• Propose and implement initiatives to increase awareness of data analytics within the team.
• Identify and implement analytics models on operational data.
• Assist in the setup of conceptual data architecture.
• Apply AI solutions to enhance the ability to create advanced and insightful dashboards in Power BI.

Requirements:

Education:

• Master's degree or equivalent.

Knowledge and Experience:

Mandatory:

• 5-8 years of experience in data analysis and Power BI.
• In-depth knowledge of data analytics, data modelling, and visualization techniques.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate and interpret information critically.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 and mastery of Power BI, including advanced features like Power Query and DAX.
• Experience in creating and presenting data models based on complex raw data and visualizing findings for various audiences.

Language Skills:

Mandatory:

• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Good to fluent in Dutch and French (speaking, reading, and writing).
