Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst/Senior BI Analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong data foundation and analytics infrastructure to support (mainly internal) analytics and business intelligence efforts. This role requires a blend of business understanding, analytical skills, data modeling and BI tool experience, as well as some fundamental data engineering skills to ensure reliable and scalable analytics solutions.

The position is ideal for someone with experience in data warehouses and data pipeline development rather than just BI & Analytics development. Following the initial handover phase, the individual will take full ownership of all aspects of data operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Modeling & Data Warehouse Development.
• Analytics and provision of data in various formats across the company.
• Design and implementation of data models that accurately represent business processes.
• Building, optimizing, and maintaining a data warehouse that serves as the backbone for analytics.
• Developing and managing ETL processes and data pipelines to gather data from multiple sources into our DW.
• Selection and implementation of tools required for a state-of-the-art analytics infrastructure.
• Provision of online reports and dashboards (real-time and asynchronous) for various stakeholder groups (internal and external).
• Provision of business and other internal users with access to reliable, well-structured data for self-serve analytics.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and at least for some time in a growth startup or scaleup.
• Good understanding of business and how to describe and manage business by numbers.
• Background in data modeling and experience working with cloud-based data warehouses.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.
• Familiarity with modern BI platforms and dashboard creation.
• Ability to gradually improve existing data infrastructure and take the ownership of internal data processes.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., finance, product, and sales).
• Excellent communication skills (English), with the ability to present complex data in a clear, strategic manner.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including financial formulas and pivot tables.
• Demonstrated career ambition and progress.
