Pricing & Market Intelligence Specialist

The Pricing & Market Intelligence Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing competitive analysis and market insights for HVAC products and solutions to product management, sales, and management stakeholders. This role leverages data on customer needs, historical trends, market conditions, and internal margin/revenue targets to support the Pricing Manager in developing effective strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Quality

• Collaborate with data owners to improve and streamline processes related to data flow and quality.
• Maintain data governance rules and standards.
  
  

Business Process Improvement

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve business processes and maximize efficiency.
  
  

BI System Support

• Provide user support for BI systems, including training, query writing, and query resolution, ensuring effective usage of BI data.
  
  

Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Lead efforts to gather and analyze market data to identify growth opportunities and assess threats.
• Consolidate industry reports and conduct primary research through direct engagement with customers and stakeholders.
• Evaluate market position, identify threats and opportunities, and summarize industry reports.
  
  

Pricing Strategy & Analysis

• Assess pricing strategies using statistical modeling to evaluate profitability impacts.
• Develop reporting solutions and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI.
• Analyze data to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends.
• Present findings to executives, marketing teams, and sales staff to support decision-making.
  
  

Collaboration with Stakeholders

• Coordinate market intelligence efforts with product management and pricing teams.
• Develop and enhance reporting structures for pricing strategies.
• Support pricing managers in creating BI reports and dashboards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, business intelligence, finance, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in competitive analysis and market intelligence.
• Proficiency in BI software such as Power BI and Tableau.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis.
• Experience collaborating on pricing strategies with sales and marketing teams.
• Familiarity with SQL and Excel pivot tables (preferred).
• Experience in the competitive intelligence industry, preferably in manufacturing or HVAC sectors.
• Strong ability to manage and ensure data integrity in CRM systems.
