Java Developer - Lisbon - Hybrid Remote

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to create innovative solutions


• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented Java code following best practices and coding standards


• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives


• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members


• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Java applications for performance and stability


• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features, ensuring they align with business goals


• Maintain and improve existing codebase, ensuring compatibility and technical debt is managed effectively


• Work hybrid: 2 days per week in the office in Lisbon

• 4-5 years of professional experience as a Java Developer


• Solid experience in Java development, including frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and J2EE


• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns


• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)


• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)


• Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team


• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)


• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with availability to work 2x per week in the office
