We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to take our design system to the next level. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping on how teams design and build digital experiences, enabling faster development cycles, a cohesive visual identity, and an improved user experience. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product owners, to ensure the design system is robust, well-documented, and widely adopted across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain design system components: Develop, document, and maintain reusable web components and libraries for use with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Vue, React).
• Performance optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure a fast, smooth, and efficient user experiences.
• Testing & quality assurance: Implement automated end-to-end testing (Playwright) to ensure reliability, stability, and functionality.
• Accessibility & responsiveness: Ensure all components meet WCAG standards and implement responsive design principles for usability across various devices.
• CI/CD & deployment: Configure and manage Azure Pipelines (or similar tools) to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Version control & workflow management: Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code repositories, ensuring structured and efficient development workflows.
• Cross-Functional collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, product owners and other stakeholders to ensure the design system is scalable, adaptable, and meets the needs of product teams. Train and support designers and developers in adopting the design system, offering guidance on best practices and troubleshooting.
• Documentation & guidelines: Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation and usage guidelines to ensure consistent application of design system components by various teams.
• Continuous improvement & trend monitoring: Stay up to date with the latest design trends, technologies, and tools, and proactively seek opportunities to enhance the design system.
  
  

Background & Skills
Key Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of front-end development experience.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, SCSS/CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (focus on React).
• Proven experience in building and maintaining a design system or component library in a collaborative team environment.
• Expertise in automated testing (Playwright or similar tools).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Webpack or Vite).
• Experience with Azure Pipelines or other CI/CD tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  
  

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience with design tokens and theming libraries.
• Familiarity with TailwindCSS.
• Experience using Storybook for UI development & documentation.
