Smadex is a cutting-edge ad-tech company: we process more than 4 million ad requests per second, replying in under 100ms. Every day, we generate several TBs of data that need to be processed, analyzed, and aggregated so that our real-time components get smarter everyday. This is a full-time position based in Barcelona.

As an Android Developer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our SDK and Android related apps remain at the forefront of the industry. You'll work on improving performance, ensuring compatibility with the latest Android releases, and contributing to the overall quality of our mobile offerings.

The Opportunity:

• Support the design, development and optimization of our Ads SDK and Android applications
• Ensure the SDK is up-to-date with the latest Android advancements, industry standards, and best practices
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving Android applications
• Improve the quality and performance of both our SDK and Android apps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with the Smadex platform
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain code quality
  
  

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an Android Developer
• Strong knowledge of Android SDKs, Java/Kotlin, and mobile application development
• Experience with multithreading, networking, and Android internals
• Familiarity with performance optimization and best practices in mobile development
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
• Passion for mobile technology and staying current with the latest advancements
  
  

Bonus Points:

• Experience with mobile advertising technologies such as MRAID and VAST
• Knowledge of building and distributing Android libraries or SDKs
• Familiarity with Unity or React Native plugins for Android

• Provide insights and recommendations on improving the Android Ads SDK and applications
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and strategic planning sessions
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality documentation and integration support materials
