We are seeking an SQL Data Analyst to join our customer's dynamic team. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with a strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience in working with large datasets. You will play a key role in extracting insights, identifying patterns and delivering actionable business intelligence to drive data-informed decisions.

Required skills:

• 3+ years working in the industry, with a focus on big data analysis, data mining, statistical inference, and data visualisation
• Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, or MS SQL Server
• Proven ability to write complex SQL queries, including:
• Multiple joins of different types
• Subqueries and advanced aggregations
• Data partitioning and ranking functions
• Window functions and data pivots
• Experience with Power BI, Jupyter Notebooks/Lab, and other data visualisation tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate data insights into business strategies
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
  

Key responsibilities & duties include:

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and insights to support business decision-making
• Develop and optimise complex SQL queries for efficient data extraction, transformation, and reporting
• Work with various relational database systems, including PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, and MS SQL Server
• Write and optimise advanced SQL queries involving multiple joins, subqueries, aggregations, data partitioning, ranking functions, window functions, and data pivots
• Build and maintain data visualisation reports using tools such as Power BI, Jupyter Notebooks, and other relevant platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support and data-driven recommendations
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by implementing best practices in data validation and quality assurance
• Continuously explore and implement improvements to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in cloud-based data environments
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and statistical modelling
