Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team and lead the development of AI/ML software products and solutions. The primary focus of this role will be to explore large datasets, perform feature engineering, build data pipelines, test and evaluate model outputs, deploy solutions for production, and scale them to ensure maintainability within a complex network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data infrastructure needed for AI/ML projects.
• Build and implement AI/ML solutions by exploring large datasets, performing feature engineering, and creating data pipelines.
• Ensure that solutions are well-designed, scalable, and maintainable in a production environment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planning, writing scalable, maintainable, and future-proof code.
• Develop solutions for common needs in AI/ML projects such as feature reuse, model traceability, monitoring, A/B testing, versioning, and serving both online and batch inference endpoints.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional, agile team of engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build an AI ecosystem.
• Ensure product quality, cybersecurity, and performance requirements are met throughout the development lifecycle.
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a senior-level Machine Learning Engineer role, preferably in supply chain and demand forecasting domains.
• Strong software engineering skills with hands-on experience in coding and applying software engineering practices, including DevOps, testing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to machine learning and AI projects.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying software products to production and scaling them within a large organization.
• Extensive experience with Python programming (4+ years), especially in developing backend services, and familiarity with frameworks like FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies for ML development, particularly Google Cloud Platform, including Vertex AI.
• Solid experience in MLOps, building ML pipelines, data pipelines, and deploying machine learning models to production.
• A strong foundational background in data science and practical experience with a variety of AI/ML techniques and frameworks.
• Experience in handling high-volume heterogeneous data (batch and stream), including hands-on development with SQL and DBT.
• Strong understanding of cloud data storage technologies and data quality management.
• Proven ability to analyze and align requirements, drive solution design, break down tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Experience working in agile environments, fostering collaboration, and supporting team members to adhere to organizational standards and best practices.
