In action

Syngenta has several locations in the Netherlands with its headquarters in Enkhuizen. The Project Manager, based in Enkhuizen, is involved in initiating, defining, coordinating, and handling technical projects submitted to the Engineering department by various business units. The projects must be delivered within Syngenta's quality standards, quantity standards, financial frameworks, and targets. Advising line managers, leaders, and management on technically related issues is also part of the job.

The challenge

• As a Project Leader, you are responsible for preparing technical projects for all locations within the Netherlands in such a way that before a project starts, all frameworks are clearly formulated for all involved parties.
• After approval of the project budget, you take care of and lead the execution of the project in such a way that it meets the specified program of requirements.
• Planning and reporting project progress to line managers and direct supervisors / management is part of your duties.
• This includes ensuring compliance with European and national laws and regulations, ARBO (occupational health and safety), Syngenta HSE, and Code of Conduct guidelines.
  
  

Qualifications

Your profile

• A Project Leader functions at HBO (University of Applied Sciences) work and thinking level and has the ambition to grow into a project management position.
• Knowledge of the PMI project structure and the seed industry is a plus.
• You are a self-starter, able to think and act independently with a hands-on mentality.
• You have an education preferably in mechanical engineering or process technology and a broad technical interest.
• Additionally, you have at least 5 years of experience in similar positions and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency, knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD is important.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is a must.
