Who we are

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Banking (Crédit Agricole CIB) is the corporate and investment banking arm of Crédit Agricole Group, world’s 10th largest bank by total assets.

Our Singapore center, Information Systems Asia Pacific (ISAP) is one of the three main IT Hubs for CA-CIB's worldwide business with over 1500 IT staffs covering Production and Application Development activities. We work daily with international branches located in 50 plus countries by supporting their IT solutions and envisioning and developing the Bank’s futures information systems.

The Department and Position

The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users covering Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, Data Regulatory, Front Office and Back Office domain. The applications are in-house developments with a mix of Microsoft and open source technologies.

Position: AI Intern

This internship program is designed to provide university students with hands-on experience in the world of Banking Technology. You will benefit:

Mission Objectives:

• Automate Data Collection and Preparation: Develop ELT process to automatically collect and preprocess data from various sources like Kafka, MongoDB, Postgres and SQL server, ensuring data integrity and consistency for AI/ML model training.
• Model Development and Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. Ensure models are integrated seamlessly into existing systems.
• Implement MLOps Practices: Set up CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development, training, deployment, and evaluation of AI/ML models. Automate the retraining of models based on new data.
• Enhance Data Visualization and Reporting: Improve the visualization of model outputs and data insights using advanced styling techniques, dashboards, and interactive charts. Generate regular performance reports.
• Collaborate and Document: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align AI/ML initiatives with business objectives. Document the entire process, including data collection, model development, deployment, and performance evaluation.

Internship Design:

Phase 1: Learning (2 weeks)

• Study inventory of use cases and come up with feasibility analysis of various use cases.
• Study best practices for AI/ML, data automation, and reporting.
• Study relevant AI/ML tools and technologies like TensorFlow, Porch, and scikit-learn.
• Familiarize yourself with CMI's data sources and reporting requirements.

Phase 2: Identification (2 Weeks)

• Collaborate with regulatory teams to analyze the current processes and identify potential use cases for AI/ML integration.
• Research and recommend AI/ML practices to implement.
• Research and select appropriate Python/SpringAI libraries and tools for model development, training, and deployment.
• Develop a detailed plan for implementing AI/ML models to enhance data quality and regulatory compliance.

Phase 3: Implementation and Documentation (5 months)

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models using Python/SpringAI and relevant frameworks.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline model development, training, deployment, and evaluation.
• Test and refine models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Document the entire process, including data collection, model development, deployment, and performance evaluation.
• Work on UI component for dashboarding of the results.

By implementing AI/ML solution on potential regulatory processes, this internship project will help CMI to enhance AI capabilities, improve data quality, reduce errors, and improve overall efficiency. Additionally, Interns gain valuable practical experience in real-world work environment. He/She will develop essential skills like ML Ops, Python, Spring AI, MongoDB, Postgres, SQL server, Kafka, DevOps best practices, concepts & problem solving, which will prepare them for a successful career.
